چکیده

In this paper, we obtain the finite-horizon and infinite-horizon ruin probability asymptotics for risk processes with claims of subexponential tails for non-stationary arrival processes that satisfy a large deviation principle. As a result, the arrival process can be dependent, non-stationary and nonrenewal. We give three examples of non-stationary and non-renewal point processes: Hawkes process, Cox process with shot noise intensity and selfcorrecting point process. We also show some aggregate claims results for these three examples.

Simulating Ruin Probabilities in Insurance Risk Processes with Subexponential Claims

We describe a fast simulation framework for simulating small ruin probabilities in insurance risk processes with subexponential claims. Naive simulation is inefficient since the event of interest is rare, and special simulation techniques like importance sampling need to be used. An importance sampling change of measure known as sub-exponential twisting has been found useful for some rare event...

Simulating Tail Probabilities in GI/GI.1 Queues and Insurance Risk Processes with Sub Exponential Distributions

This paper deals with estimating small tail probabilities of the steady-state waiting time in a GI/GI/1 queue with heavy-tailed (subexponential) service times. The interarrival times can have any distribution with a nite mean. The problem of estimating in nite horizon ruin probabilities in insurance risk processes with heavy-tailed claims can be transformed into the same framework. It is well-k...

Finite-time Ruin Probability of Renewal Model with Risky Investment and Subexponential Claims

In this paper, we establish a simple asymptotic formula for the finite-time ruin probability of the renewal model with risky investment in the case that the claimsize is subexponentially distributed and the initial capital is large. The result is consistent with known results for the ultimate and finitetime ruin probability and, particularly, is inconsistent with the corresponding Poisson risk ...

Ruin probabilities for a regenerative Poisson gap generated risk process

A risk process with constant premium rate c and Poisson arrivals of claims is considered. A threshold r is defined for claim interarrival times, such that if k consecutive interarrival times are larger than r, then the next claim has distribution G. Otherwise, the claim size distribution is F . Asymptotic expressions for the infinite horizon ruin probabilities are given for both lightand the he...

Higher-order Expansions for Compound Distributions and Ruin Probabilities with Subexponential Claims

Let Xi (i = 1, 2, . . .) be a sequence of subexponential positive independent and identically distributed random variables. In this paper we offer two alternative approaches to obtain higher-order expansions of the tail of ∑n i=1 Xi and subsequently for ruin probabilities in renewal risk models with claim sizes Xi. In particular, these emphasize the importance of the term P( ∑n i=1 Xi > s,max(X...
